A co-worker's sister just had to ban her 13 year old from the computer unsupervised for the same thing. I told her I sure hope she wasn't surprised that that happened!
Then she saw her kids myspace page - not tooo bad - but his little girlfriend's page looked like an ad for an underage escort service.
And the thing is, youre supposed to be at least 15 to have myspace but kids sign up and say they are 15 to circumvent that.

She asked me to take a look at their computer and I ended up removing 20 viruses and 350 peices of spyware. I clicked on firefox download manager to see what all had been downloaded. I found all kinds of stuff like "laura takes on a monster penis" that had been downloaded.

i agree w/what everyone has for the most part said on this forum about this topic.
kids in high school are stupid, point blank. they are ignorant, they think they know everything under the sun.
Kids just dont understand how much the world has to offer if they just wait a little and experiene life before making any major decisions. esp bringing a kid into the world (which truely is a miracle from God).
I would love to see the stat of ppl who got married under the age of 21, and are still married after a few years.
I also agree w/whoever made the comment about young single moms. I know 2 or 3 girls that are absolutly beautiful that are single moms and under the age of 24. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to be a single parent today at this age. It is really intimidating even thinking about going out w/them, because point blank they have so much extra luggage (pardon me if i sound rude). Don't get me wrong I love kids, I really do. But personally I'm not ready to be that responsible, esp if its not my kid...thas just alot of drama waiting to happen. I think you'd have to really be in love with a girl to make that situation work. and yeah it is very possible for it to happen.
i think the best example for kids would be a coach that post on this forum. this girl is smart, pretty, and has a really good head on her shoulders. she waited until she graduated college, got a career, and is now happily married to a great guy (the SNAKE!!) who she has known her whole life. and honestly as corny as it sounds that is a fairy tale ending to a great new life they will have. in which i wish them the best of luck, even though they wont need it.
and we can blame paris hilton, lindsey lohan, or whatever but what it comes down to is parenting. and providing a good example to the youngins at an early age.
Dont get me wrong, there are ppl who have gotten married as soon as they turned 18 and stayed married 50+ years, which is awesome and very possible...but research has shown ppl under the age of 21 that get married are more likely to go through a divorce.

very nice dane, very nice. I agree 100%. It is hard enough for me at 27 raising a family I couldn't imagine doing it in HS. No way.
I could make a couple of comments, but they would certainly be misconstrued...
Things may have changed in the last 15 years or so, but in my day not everyone was screwing, smoking dope and drinking. There were cases of each, but for the most part we were clean.
Then again, that was pre 'IS'.
Well, I have watched this thread for a while and swore I was not going to respond, but I have to respond to this. My youngest daughter, who is now 21 got pregnant at 14, had the baby 3 months after her 15 birthday. Before this happened, I was one of those parents that said....."NO, NOT MY CHILD, NEVER!!", man was I ever wrong. My wife and I took care of the baby and let our daughter finish high school. Best decision we ever made. She finish high school with honors, went to college and finished with a degree and is now married to our grand daughter's dad and all is well with them.
My point is, don't ever, as a parent, say your children will never do something like this. They will and they do! Just be a "rock" for them to lean on. It isn't the end of the world for none of us. And don't ever, take a child's life by abortion, we couldn't. They are a gift from God, no matter how soon they come along.

Wow, thanks Dane. That means a lot.
I am not perfect and never lay claim to that...but I honestly do try to be a role model. If you are well-known in a community and especially if you are around or work with kids, they notice you. They know more about you than you think. They are interested in you and are interested in the point of view that you have of them. I try to not only be a good coach in the sports I coach, but I really do try to guide these young girls. I try to inforce the view that each girl is WORTH something and to hold themselves to that high esteem as much as possible.
